My oldest DS has a HUGE project due for history class on China. He has to make oodles of maps, reports, and art projects for a double grade.
Part of the art project section gave a list of things he could make. He needed a minimum of 20 pts in this section. The pagoda was worth 20 pts, the screen was worth 10.
The pagoda is made from two empty half gallon milk containers.
He used real red and brushed gold cardstock for the paper. Stamped my medallion stamp and embossed using gold on the red, and black on the gold. The Chinese characters are a stamp we got at Joanne's on clearance.
The base of the pagoda is extra scrapbook paper I've been hoarding for way too long. He found a small piece of "stone" printed paper in my stash, and made the wall and walkway out of that. The trees are scraps and popsicle sticks, colored with SU markers.
The screen is made from 3 "name frame" frames I've had sitting around doing nothing with. The paper is from an old Provo Craft Book "Collage Papers". He stamped the same Chinese stamp in basic black on the middle panel, and connected the frames with hinges...
I think he did a fabulous job on these and deserves an A. His teacher is a colleague of mine, and will hear about it if he doesn't LOL!

WOW -- now this is absolutely beautiful -- does MOM get to keep and use this once he gets a grade -- and really, you MUST post his grade here when he receives it -- really a WONDERFUL job!!!
