They had this journal in my local Memoirs next to the register, and I told the lady how much I liked it. She was kind enough to make me a copy of the instructions from a class they teach, and to find all of the paper, ribbon and embellishments for me to make one. All of the paper and embellishments are by K and Company. I used the matching metal brad in the middle of the bow, and sticking out of the top is a Metal Art Clip, which is basically a paperclip with the dood-dad sewn on so you can mark your place in the journal. I had an extra Target mailbox that I covered in the same paper and some green velvet ribbon, to make a matching set as a gift. I added one of the brads to the mailbox flag. Only problem is now I want to keep it! The mailbox is just the right size to enclose a gift card, small candles or soaps, earrings or any other small trinket.
Thanks for looking!

OMG- this is over-the-top gorgeous! I am going crazy trying to find some of these Target mailboxes but am striking out every time I look. Hopefully another SCS "sister" who has been so kind as to try will be able to help me out! I can't wait to decorate one of these and if mine came out half as nice as yours, I'd be thrilled! This is so pretty- thanks for sharing. I am putting this into my favorites for future inspiration even if I don't get a mailbox, 'cause the journal is so beautiful, too.

Great projects! My first thought when looking at the picture was that someone made an attempt at a world record (judging by the size of the other images in the background). :-) Then I realized they're probably sitting against a window, but it still made me smile.
