I found these cute little mailboxes at Target this weekend and thought they were screaming for the Loves Me dp Ü
Just a couple of notes: the finish is pretty shiny/slippery unlike the lunchboxes, so modgepodge didn't work unless I sanded the finish a bit, and I only did that on each end. Sticky strip holds the paper on the body of the box in place.
The chipboard *k* is from Basic Grey, covered with pretty in pink craft and irridescent ice ep. Ok, and here's a *duh* moment for me--as I was ready to adhere the *k* to the front of the box, I couldn't figure out why different adhesives were NOT sticking to the back of the chipboard letter, cause it was kinda shiny-like....DUH--it was a peel off adhesive backing (insert red face)!
Also, to make the opening for the flag: After you've cut your paper, line it over the mailbox and press on the flag hinge to make an impression on the paper. Use your 1/2" circle punch, centered over the impression, to make a hole and then cut a slit from the left side of the paper to the hole.
