I'm infested with my new Cuttlebug! I have been wanting one of these since they came out on the market...and after seeing all the awesome samples on SCS...I KNEW I had to have one! So, off to Michael's after church this morning I ran with my 50% off coupon, and I'm such a happy stamper at the moment!!!
I ran home, bug in hand, and immediately had to do something with it. After scanning the SCS gallery for ideas, I CASED this from cuccicoo1002. She had this genius idea of outlining the raised embossing with a Sakura stardust pen. It's really difficult to see from this photo, but it really shimmers and shines, in real life.
My step-daughter will really love this when she receives it early next month for her birthday! While I'm no longer married to her Dad, I still think of her as one of mine!

Lynn, glad you got the 'bug' and I'm in awe of this card!!!! I have yet to let my 'bug' out of the box!!!! I'm afraid it will I never stop 'playing' and I have so much to do before I get to 'play'. But, this one is going into my faves for CASEing later. TFS!!!!

thanks for sharing your case from cuccicoo1002. What a great idea with the pens! and I love the layers on your card.
I'm using my bug for a different kind of one-layer card - just the embossing. But adding the sparkle -- wow!
I love this card! The flower is AWESOME. Guess I'm off to Michaels with my 50% off coupon to get the asterisk die for my bug. And the Stardust pen? True genius (you're right.) I tried versamark (lightly smeared over the embossing) and glitter powder yesterday on the snowflake folder with *okay* results. Still playing. TFS!
