I picked up this small art mannequin at walmart for around $5. I just wanted one. after a month or to of it just hanging around, I decided that I wanted to personalize it, making it an expression of myself.
I didn't think I could stamp right on it, so I stamped all the images in Memories on kraft colored tissue paper, and ddeccopauged the tissuee paper on. I stamped, cutt them out, and placed them all individually so the form of the mannequin was not lost in too much collage.
Some of the things that speak most about me are on here. Mostly my sense of humor. . . but also I have lots of symbols off things thatt are important to me - a doggie paw print, many references to art, a letter A (for Amy), a flower for gardening, the saying " Life is the sum of all your choices", the word "believe", the phrase "inside you can be anything", a music symbol, the word "princess" (my hubby's nickname for me), and my favorite - on her back a pair of wings with the letter D in the middle - because my husband, Darren, gives me my wings.
This project really had me thinking outside the box, but most importantly, reminded me of why I love stamping. It is all about expressing myyself, and sharing who I am in all my work!
Thank you for looking, and I hope all my rambling has helped to inspire you! (the word "inspire" is on her as well!)
