Hi Melissa - this was organized by one simply "blonde" woman who has a need to try and help out others who are in pain - that woman is me. The story is long and so I won't bore you with it - but when Stampin' Up! gave me the tool, our "Hope Is..." stamp set, I thought "I can do so much more with this than just raise $2 for each set sold" and the idea was born. So... with persistence and power only brought to me by a greater source which I firmly believe is God's love - I have kept at it through the really rough times this month. I feel like I have finally crossed the finish line this weekend and yet for me that finish line is only the start - I feel that there is so much more that can be done to help others out and hopefully I will be able to follow up and do more in the months and years ahead. My plan is to put together the process I went through to organize this and if others want to try and do something similar they will at least have a starting point. If they are here in the Seattle area I hope that they will join forces with me and we can grow this into something that will bring our community together and help bring hope and encouragement to those who are suffering and contribute to the Susan G. Komen Foundation that does so much good for so many women who are suffering from this disease.
