First, I cleaned the glass ornament thoroughly with glass cleaner and a paper towel. Next, I swiped it all over one side with the embossing buddy. Then I inked the stamp with the gold metallic ink, and carefully stamped the image. I made a few mistakes (Glass is slippery)...So, I
wiped it off...and started all over again.
Once I got the image stamped the way I liked it, I sprinkled with the gold e.p. and then used a paintbrush to brush away any stray particles of the embosssing powder. Then I heat embossed.
Next, I actually hung the ornament over my laundry tub, and carefully brushed the etching cream all over it. I guess I should have worn gloves...oops...I will next time.
I waited about 5 minutes and then rinsed off the cream under running water. I used a sponge paintbrush to help rub the cream away.
Then, since some of the areas weren't completely etched, I had to go over those areas again with a little more of the etching cream, waited another 5 minutes, etc.
Once it was finished, I actually just peeled off the embossed image...I didn't even have to scrape hardly at all.
I made sure it was dry inside and out...I put a strand of tinsel inside and tied organdy in a bow at the top. I even made a hook using our wire. I hope you like it!
