I made the base for this card many months ago when I first learned how to make explosion cards, then it languished in a drawer until I moved down to Texas and needed to make a birthday card for a party we were invited to. Of course, all of my crafting stuff was still in boxes so I happened to this card base and a kit of store-bought embellishments in the first box I looked in and decided to go with it.
I am really quite happy with how everything pulled together so nicely! When the birthday boy's parents opened the card, several folks gave an "oooh!" sound which was really gratifying. :) The striped paper is from The Slab 5, the grey cs is from a dollar store pack, and the stars were cut from Fiskars Bright cardstock using a Fiskars shapecutter. The star stickers were from a calender I purchased when I was in grade school (yikes!!), and the remainer are vinyl, foam, and CS stickers from a card kit I picked up at Michaels.
Thanks for looking!
