I hope nobody is offended by this. At my office, we always dress up for Halloween. There are prizes for many categories including current events. So, I thought I would make a giant hurricane spinner card as my costume. The hurricane is on a spinner and it spins across the front of Florida.
Florida was made out of foam and then I glued poster board on top to make it stable. The spinner is made of carboard disks that I cut out. I colored the poster board by sponging and brayering ink on it. Then, I cut the palm trees out of SU paper. The other embellishments were bought at a scrapbook store.

I'm from Florida and I think this is great. Florida has been remembered for 4 years for the "Hanging Chads". At least for awhile now we can be remembered for 4 hurricans. I think people even feel a little sorry for us now. They sure were mad at us 4 years ago. I love the card.

You look FANTASTIC! I love the whole idea!!! Did you weight the spinner down w/ anthing? I haven't had a go at them yet, but I thought you add a penny on the cards.
