Made these for little gift cards for my hostesses, but could easily be adapted for holiday presents - I give lots of Target and Barnes and Noble gift cards at Christmas. I used some left over large size envelopes for these.

Take an envelope - seal it and cut it about two and 1/2 inches from either the left side or right. It doesn't matter because it will eventually be your top. Stamp both peices. Some people like to do the smaller peice a little differently so it stands out. Take the larger side and insert into your crimper and crimp. Be sure that the envelope goes in the long way. This will make this piece a little smaller so that it can be inserted into the top. You can add a piece of matching cardstock to make it sturdier and to adhere the gift card to as well. There is a picture of one open somewhere in my gallery.
I hope those directions are as clear as mud! I do much better in person.
