Here is my SC99 card -- great challenge! Not my favourite card -- but forced myself to upload anyway, as part of my self-imposed challenge to put time limits on my card making. I routinely take WAY too much time fiddling with cards and scrapbook pages over the most minute details!
Anyway, the birthday cake stamp was from my 4-year-old's bargain stamp set, which I coloured with her pencil crayons and cut out to mount here. It's hard to tell on the photo, but IRL, you can see that I added glitter to the cake and to each of the little flowers on the patterned paper. Then, I inked the edges of the patterned paper to make a faux border. Believe it or not, the ribbon was not purchased with the paper!!

Wow, this is awesome!! Don't you love those sketch challenges. Until I found them, I kept just making the same kind of cards. Now I just go into the challenges and find a past sketch that is different and go for it.
Love your choices of color --and you are correct -- the ribbon does look like it goes with the paper. Definatly a sign that you have too much stuff :)
