Photo Details
Poster: Laurel

So, So Simple! I took an old picture of my great grandparents and copied it with a toner based copier. My ink jet at home would not work. You just copy it onto regular paper like 20 wt. Cover the copy with a piece of packing tape. Smooth it down so it is sealed well. Soak it in a bowl of warm water for a minute or two and then rub off the paper. The ink stays on the tape. I then applied it to a pc. of cardstock (pale plum, I think). I can't wait to show this to my Mom.

I have done this technique as well. It's really easy. It will also work for pictures in magazines for some reason.

You did a great job. This is a great picture as well, my family came through Ellis Island so we don't have any of these type of old pictures.

This is SO cool; I've heard of the technique and seen it done with "recent" photos, but I absolutely love the vintage look of it with an older photograph!
