I am always forgetting from year to year exactly what gifts I give to whom. So I made myself a gift journal. It has 3 divisions.. Christmas, Birthday, and other wishes. The book itself is a $1 one from Michaels. They are easy to take apart and re-do. I just glued the paper on. The dividers are laminated. The quote inside the slide mount says: It is snot the size of the gift that mattes, but the size of the heart that gives it. Words are computer generated

This is adorable. I'm a bit behind times here...how do you get the wires off, then back on...and line up the holes. Do you have a little punch for those? It looks perfect!

LovinHiim... this particular journal has sprial wire that is not closed, so you can spread the wires slightly, take the covers and paper out, decorate, put back in and squeeze the wires a little, to close again.
I have a hand punch that has a square hole just the right size! When I am covering the book, I fold some of the paper over the holes to make a slight crease in the paper, then take the cover out and lay on top with the crease even with the edge of the cover, and mark the holes with a pencil. Then I take the cover out, punch the holes, and then it is ready to put back on and glue down. Sorry this is not very clear, but really is easy when you do it! Thanks for the compliments!

designdiva, the dividers are in my gallery, close to the journal itself. I just removed all of the pages from the wire binding and traced around one of the pages onto cardstock, adding enough for tabs. I used the punch from SU that is that shape and punched a coordinating color out, stamped that piece with the title, and glued to the excess CS I left on for the tab. Then I just cut out around it and discarded the rest of the strip. Good grief, I hope that makes sense!!! My friend who has a laminator, laminated them for me. I have a punch that was just the size of the square holes. Then I assembled the book back into the wire binding, pinched the binding closed, and voila!!!
Thanks for the compliments on my journal.... it was fun to make!
