Since the challenge was based on Thanksgiving using thanks sentiments as a focal point I wanted to stay in the fall theme so what better than the oak tree and leaves. I used an oval template cut from paper with Coluzzle and I have them stored so I donÂ’t have to cut one each time I need it.
Outside the oval is sponged heavy with tea stain ink from Ranger/Tim Holtz then I do a light touch with what’s left in the sponge on the inside to tone down the white cardstock. I over stamped with linen in caramel. The tree is colored with water brush and pad ink. The oak is one of few trees with leaves at Thanksgiving so the image works for the time of year. The tabs are 1” circle punch folded in half and glued to the card. Holes were punched in place of piercing for a larger accent.
ItÂ’s a quick card that can easily be done in about half an hour. Thanks for the challenge stampingdenise.

I just love it when you post a card because I not only get to view a terrific creation but I get a mini lesson to boot--how great is that (a two-fer that doesn't cost a penny)!! Now that I actually own this set, I can give this one a try and hope it turns out half as good!
