This is my FIRST shaker card and it took 2 hours and was a real learning experience. I am p.o'ed because I thought I place the snowman in the right place so that the window frame wouldnt cover his face, but I was wrong! So you kinda sorta have to peek through the side to see the cute little snowmans face! I also discovered I am not crazy about the thyme color at least not for whimsy-style cards. Cant get it to work for me! So I slapped some wonderful Tim Coffey stickers on it to brighten it up, was not gonna scrap it after all my work, and I am pleased that I have the actual technique down of how to build a shaker card. I will be dinitely making more of these, they will be worth the effort once I work out the kinks! Thanks for looking! (((HUGS))), Nancyruth and Frosty!

Maybe you can call it "snowman plays Hide n Seek". I like the window, it looks like a paint crackled wooden window for real. I haven't tried this shaker technique so I can't criticize. The glitter also adds a great touch. Nice card.

It is DEFINATELY NOT ugly! The only thing I would suggest is what you already said...you cannot see the cute snowmans face very well, maybe if the center part of window was cut down a bit. There are a lot of nice details on this card. At least you got the tech down and the next one will have the snowman exactly where you want him, I bet.

this is cute! One of the Demonstrators in our group showed us how to make a shaker card using the small SU! celo bags instead of the window sheets, that way you can put your image inside and then your beads and that way the beads don't go everywhere. it seems to work pretty well and for a "window" your size you could use a larger celo bag. tfs your cute snowman and I really like the "window"!

Not ugly at all! You did awesome for a first time and trial and error helps us all! Hide and seek is a very cute idea! Maybe on the inside you could have the whole snowman again with something like - 'Popping in to wish you a Happy Holidays!' I know what you mean about the True Thyme color but the added stickers make it really 'pop' out at you! Very adorable!

I hear ya, my first gel card took me 4 hours. I got so mad. I like your shaker. I love the crimped paper around the window frame. I also like the crackled paper as the window frame. Looks so real. I think you did a great job. Now you know for the next time and the next shaker will only take you 20 minutes. I think you did a great job!!!
