I got this idea after seeing a project a friend made. She turned a post-it tote into a holder for a Halloween treat by adding sides to it. I made a smaller version that fit the mini Hershey bar exactly.
Here's how: Cut c/s 8 1/2" x 2 1/8". Score at 3/8" along both long sides to create the sides and at 4 1/16" from each end to create the bottom. Decorate as desired.
To create the handles: measure down 1 1/4" from each end and draw small lines from the edges of the c/s to the score lines on each of the sides (two sides on both ends). Trim away the side portions above these marks, cutting on the mark and along the score lines.
To form the bottom: cut in from the edges at the score lines which form the bottom, stopping at the score lines which form the sides. Snip away a small wedge at the bottom edges of the sides.
Forming the handles: To round the ends for the handle, guide the 1 3/8" ends of the c/s into the 1 3/8" punch through the hole, stopping just when you can no longer see the cut end of the c/s. A piece of polyshrink or window sheet slid into the punch first (the normal way) facilitates sliding the c/s in place. Remove the polyshrink before punching. After rounding both ends, form the bottom along the score lines and bring the two ends together and punch a 3/4" hole through both layers. Fold the sides along the score lines and use Sticky Strip to adhere the sides. Punch an 1/8" hole through the tag and the lower edge of the front hole and tie on the tag.
Hope you're able to follow these instructions.

Super Cute!
We aren't allowed to do 'halloween' at school this year but I'm thinking I could make these and make it more of a fall theme for my 1st graders!!
