This is a page I made to enter into the MM Idol contest. Didn't make it! They have some amazing scrappers on there!
I took an old photo of my sis and I (that was when I was shorter than her) that someone in my family scanned years ago and I printed out on my color printer at least five years ago. I then quickly sized it with a ruler and made a big frame for it by cutting it out from a piece of chipboard.
Then came the long part. I took a piece of MM paper that has words in all sorts of fonts, sizes, and colors printed horizontally on it. I cut each word out and used double sided tape to stick them in a puzzle pattern onto the chipboard. This took 2-3 hours. I then stamped the background in Versamark all over the cheapo pink paper (it was all I had of the right color to match the MM paper!). I then eyeballed a piece of Rose Red and cut it out as a mat. Glued the pic into the "frame" and stuck the frame and pic onto the RR paper.
I took a MM chipboard "S" and colored it with my Rose Red craft spot. Then I used my snap stamps (1/2 inch formal) to stamp the rest of the word in Rose Red craft.
Oh! The ribbon is olive velvet ribbon I found at Walmart. When I got my Crop-A-Dile, I was so excited that I started putting eyelets into everything. So, I figured I'd try ribbon too. It does take some practice, as it looks funny if you smoosh it too much. I took a gel pen and a ruler and marked a dot in the middle of the ribbon every half inch. Then, I punched a hole over each dot. Then, I used the C-A-D to set a MM marroon/burgundy eyelet in each hole. Turned out cool!
