Iíve been trying to come up with simple, quick Christmas cards for beginning stampers that wonít break the bank and are fairly easy to mass produce. A friend fell in love with this card from tayloredexpressions (linked below), and once you look at it youíll know why. She asked me to come up with something similar. Well, I tried and not having the right supplies/colors on hand, I wasnít real happy with my attempt to directly CASE, so I let my card take its own direction, and this is the result.
What I really loved about Taylorís card was the warm, earthy, natural feel it evoked, and that is what I was trying to accomplish with this card. Even though it was heavily inspired by Taylorís card, and kind of CASED, it is still quite different, but Iím hoping that the earthy, natural feel comes through.
Iím unhappy with my caramel eyelets. Iíll try to find something in Bravo before I do this card with others.
And how does this fit WT79 you wonder? Well, it is the twill. I dug it out of my sewing cabinet, and I just wanted to share because it is dressmaker twill, much thinner and more finely woven that what is being sold for craft purposes. I really like it Ė very easy to work with. I used to use it to reinforce the shoulder seams in t-shirts when I used to make them for my boys years ago. It comes on a card like seam binding or rick-rack (cheap)!!!
Of the 4 Christmas cards I have done recently with this set, this is my favorite!
