Usually I'm not a paisley girl but I saw this paper at a local stamp store and thought it may make cute criss cross cards--something I've been wanting to try. I didn't realize how fast these cards can be made! If I can convice myself to think paisley for a little longer I may make a few sets (8 cards + pen) for an upcoming craft botique.
Words (happy birthday, thank you, hello) are computer generated. Sponging with Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa. I think the large brads are MM.
ETA: Sorry it took me awhile to get the directions up—it’s hard to get anything done when DS is awake.
First, the paper is by one heart. . . one mind. It is the Madison Avenue collection.
Now, I know there are probably better directions somewhere, but IÂ’ll give it a go. Thank you to justcrazy for posting the link to directions by Michellle Wooderson. She used 8 1/2 by 11, I actually used 12 X 12 and get 3 cards out of one piece of paper. BTW this is NOT my idea. I received a card in a swap and got the idea of how to fold, etc. from that card.
Here goes. . . cut the paper so that you have a 4” X 12” piece. Score at 5 1/2” and 11” this will leave a 1” ‘leftover’ at the end. Keep the 1” section on your right. Cut diagonally from the bottom left side to the top where you made your score mark at 5 1/2”. This will give you a triangle piece. Now fold in on the two score marks—the triangle part and the 1” section. Now adhere the loose triangle to the 1” section. Trim the tiny triangle part that is still visible at the top of the 1” section.
And now since I am cheap, I punched out my circle for the insert part of the card from the triangle section that will be covered once everything is glued down. Now glue the bottom of the folded-in triangles to create the bottom of the card. I found that Mon-Multi worked well for this.
For the insert I used a 3 1/2” by 5 1/4” piece of paper. Round the corners, sponged, etc. I took the circle I had already punched, folded in half and used the brad to finish everything off.
Hope this all makes sense! Feel free to ask questions! Thanks to whoever created this idea in the first place!
Oh yeah, for the pen, Rochelle Wick has some awesome directions in the downloads forum: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Oh, these are beautiful!! I had to do a search to find out how to make them and I must say, from all the samples I saw, I just love yours the best. It's really cool with the patterned paper and I love the circle punch folded over at the top of the insert!!! Too cool!! TFS!

I love your cards and I'm a huge paisley fan, so of course I love the paper too!
I've been looking for instructions for this technique, can't find anything. :( Please help. Also, how did you make the pen? Thanks! And, keep up the good work!
