This is one of my proudest stamping/creative moments (I know, I am easily impressed by myself). I stamped the stampin' lady and then I proceeded to stamp her on this cute patterned paper from Michael's and cut her shirt out at which point my sis and friend who were at my house stamping said "you will never be able to cut that shirt out, you have to cut out her hands and everything", well I then knew that I would have to do it, I can't turn down a challenge. So I did it and it only took one try and I so I am pretty proud of this card. My sister said "why dont you put crystal effects over her so she doesn't tear?" (tiny pieces were HARD to stick on but maybe she was trying to sabatoge me... ;) so I did and it kind of smudged the pastels from her face but I am still proud of it so thanks for looking!

I love it! Thanks for sharing your little story too. These "background" stories make the rest of us feel "kin"! I personally think the smudging adds a nice touch!

I thought the smudge was a nice, pink glow around her! Very nice card. Tip: My SU demo introduced me to Xyron and it works perfectly when paper piecing like you did here. I'm hooked.
