I love that you can pull the ribbon and the gum lifts out of the holder. I used the original packaging as a template for the kraft cs. I used SU!'s rectangle punch for the ribbon slits.

This is a neat idea! Is it a regular pack of gum like, Extra or Juicy Fruit? Are there directions somewhere for the ribbon pulling effect you spoke of? Hope you don't mind all the silly questions. Ü Would you mind emailing me? [email protected]?

I love this! Great gift for nursing home patients and the shut-ins. Please email me your instructions or send a template. Thanks so much for sharing. [email protected]

Hello-
Thank you for all of your nice comments! I decided to post my directions here so that future viewers would also have them. This is such an easy project! I used trident gum (it is flat), but I think you could use just about anything the same way. I carefully unwrapped the original trident package and used it as my template for the kraft paper. I also used their score lines to know where to score my cardstock. I used sticky strip to glue it together. The ribbon is so neat! If you lift firmly on the bow, the gum will lift out of the holder. I used SU!'s rectangle punch for the holes. Thread the ribbon from outside to inside. The ribbon should then run down one side of the gum and up the other side and through the hole to the outside. Tie your knot at the top and your done. I hope that my directions are easy to follow. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. -Marie
