The leaf stamp is the very first stamp I ever bought. It wa probably about 1997 or so. Long before I ever discovered SU or SCS. The original use of it was as a typical autumn leaf printed with autumn spectrum ink. I changed it by stamping a female face on the top and not coloring it...keeping it rather monochromatic. I also used the new paisley bkgd stamp in the bkgd. I also used buttons and ribbon, something I rarely used when Ifirst started stamping. I add faux stiching (which I think I would leave off next time). The french script in the bkgd and the woman's face turns this from a pure leaf card to a kind of collage/artsy fartsy type card....certainly out of the box for me. The color I used is not new, but the whole color scheme is different for me....if you look in my gallery you would see a lot of color......anyway...thanks for the challenges.....it really makes me look at my stamps and style from new perspectives.
