This idea came to me in the middle of the night...still not sure that it works. I scanned and printed an illustration of an iris from a flower book I have and used it for the background, put some vellum over to mute it a bit...then painted the stamped image with the new colors, and painted over with some iridescent twinkling H20"s to give it a bit of shine. I think maybe the watercolor paper doesn't work....to harsh against the vellum. Any idea's..? I think the idea of the card was better than the finished product.

I love the stamped piece...excellent watercoloring, love the cutout corners and the brads.
Since you asked, perhaps instead of the printed image, put the stamped image there (just the image, not colored in)? I think your idea is awesome, but I think that we can't see enough of the flower in the background image to "get" that it is also an iris.

Beautiful card. I love the iris. Maybe reprint the under image in reverse so that more of the iris can be seen under the ribbon. Just keep playing with it until you are satisfied, that's half the fun..right?
