Paper: Lavender Lace, Sage Shadow, Garden Green, Very Vanilla
Ink: Lavender Lace, Sage Shadow, Elegant Eggplant
Techniques: Stamp off
I made “baby’s first year” scrapbooks for two friends of mine last year and I’m just now getting around to posting the pictures. Each month has a two-page layout done in seasonal colors and each one has a space for a 5x7 photo and several smaller ones. I wrote the sizes for the pictures on the mats so the new moms would be able to tell what size pictures they’d need to put in each place. I also left space for journaling (the white block). Titles for each month were done with a Sizzix machine.
I really like how this one turned out, the colors are a little wonky in the scan but itÂ’s really pretty IRL. Maybe itÂ’s just because I like purple and I like to have the title on the bottom of the page sometime since itÂ’s more unexpected. I chose flowers for May for MotherÂ’s Day. The flowers on the bottom half of the pages are done in Lavender Lace and Elegant Eggplant (flower centers) and the leaves are Sage Shadow, all stamped off once before I put them on the page so it would have a softer effect. I stamped one extra flower on a scrap of vanilla, cut it out, and used it as an accent. The three photo spaces at the top are for 4x5 pictures, and the two vertical ones on the right page are standard 4x6.
