Paper: Old Olive, More Mustard, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Copper embossing powder, chalks
Technique: Heat embossing, PoppinÂ’ Pastels
I made “baby’s first year” scrapbooks for two friends of mine last year and I’m just now getting around to posting the pictures. Each month has a two-page layout done in seasonal colors and each one has a space for a 5x7 photo and several smaller ones. I wrote the sizes for the pictures on the mats so the new moms would be able to tell what size pictures they’d need to put in each place. I also left space for journaling (the white block). Titles for each month were done with a Sizzix machine.
I used Versamark to stamp the acorns on the Chocolate Chip border and then embossed it with copper powder—looks really neat IRL. The leaf is stamped in Versamark and then brushed with chalk. I also stamped leaves on the wide end of the mat under the leaf with smaller leaves. Looking at it without pictures it kind of feels like I should have put some vanilla paper on the left page, but most likely there would be some white/vanilla in a picture put on that page so I’m not going to worry about it.
