I haven't done Art Institute glitter painting for ages, but I re-discovered this oriental fan stamp I got a few years ago specifically for that technique. Even though the process is messy and tedious and fiddly, I'm still dazzled by the results. Since some of the gitter is of the transparent variety, I cut out a fan shape in white cardstock and glued it to the back of the glittered acetate (using the same Art Institute adhesive) and mounted it on dimensionals. Of course, the scan doesn't do it justice. It looks like a glittery enameled pin.

Linda, this is incredibly awesome! Beautiful, rich Oriental colors. All that glitter has got to be a show stopper in real life! So much beauty and detail in this little ATC! Thank you for sharing this glorious piece for all to see and enjoy!
I love all things Asian inspired, but this is absolutely beautiful. I don't know a thing about the technique you refer to, but it made this card turn out perfect in every way.
