Downside of working in an office all day - no chance to join in the challenges until I get home. Upside of working in an office all day - access to office supplies! So, I took this challenge to the nth degree and used ONLY office supplies.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!
The ribbon is a length of 3/4 inch cellophane tape stuck to any colored or patterned paper. I used a file folder - stiff paper gives the 'ribbon' more strength. Burnish the tape with the side of your fingernail or something smooth that won't damage the tape. Once it's stuck down very well, lift up one end and QUICKLY pull it up off the paper. The paper underneath will come off with the tape in a thin layer. If there are rough edges of paper wider than the tape, cut them off (or have fun with a different looking 'ribbon'). Now, fold the long edge of the tape back 1/4 inch on each side and crease the folds so you end up with a 1/4 inch wide 'ribbon'. It's strong and flexible enough to be tied as shown on my card, but not as strong as real ribbon.
