I'm not always all about pretty florals, although, I do love them. This birthday card is for our neighbor, Matt. Matt and his wife Charlene are transplants to Charleston from Colorado. Matt is a good sport when it comes to the heat and humidity, but his heart is in the mountains of Colorado.
I'm off to spend the day with Teddy. Have a happy day everyone.

Absolutely gorgeous watercoloring, Susie! Sure to be a treasured birthday card for your friend. Love how you achieved distance by lightening the values and details as the scene receded.....so expertly done. (You should sign your beautiful work!)

Beautiful scene. Some time in cool mountain air would be quite pleasant right now. I love the way you have distant mountains, some closer and some lovely meadow areas in the foreground
