Mary is our hostess and she is giving us Azure Afternoon, Real Red, Night of Navy to work with along with dessert options of a masculine card or adding a 4th color. I went with a masculine card as I need to build up my stash of those, although I did add a 4th color allowable neutral of Crumb Cake. So I guess I got dessert covered!!
I embosses my Azure Afternoon mat before attaching to Night of Navy and then my Real Red card base. I stamped my image, colored it and sponged Azure Afternoon ink around it before fussy cutting it out. I cut little slits in the embossed mat to slide my image into every so slightly. I then popped up the upper half for some dimension. I attached my sentiment piece using a Real Red brad and popping up as well. I wasn't too fond of the finished product at first, but it has grown on me. Looking forward to seeing what appears in the gallery this week, so hope you can come and play along. TFL

Mary, any fisherman would love this birthday card! What a fun image. I love the way you cut the slits so that the image looks like it's behind a wave. Love the red brad, too. A bobber? (Is that the correct fishing term?)

So cute & fun! Love how you colored the image with the challenge colors. Looks great. The wavy embossing is a nice touch. A fun pun is always good. Great card. It's a catch worth keeping.

This is a great masculine card. I love all the details you put into your cards. Attaching the sentiment with a brad to the fishing line is a creative idea.
