WT1106 - Caregivers

I made this for my cousin Judith, a caregiver to both her elderly parents and an elderly aunt, until they each passed away. A caregiver to others now. Endlessly kind and generous she is, and ever so upbeat. I admire her so much, and she has given me great advice now that I am a carer. She loves Aussie cockatoos.
The background is stencilled using green, blue and purple distress inks, then spritzing water over.
I layered the cocky, leaves and flower, adding the glossy and stacked XOXO over the flower. I thought the stamped sentiment fit my cousin perfectly.

The layered pieces in this card create a sweet scene, and I enjoy how the soft coloring, gentle patterns, and uplifting sentiment work together to form a warm and encouraging card.
