This week we have been asked to send "sweet" cards to a sweet person who is battling a reoccurrence of cancer. Among the many things that Judi loves are her grandchildren and the beach. As soon as I read "sweet" and "grandchildren" this image popped into my mind. I've always loved it and I hope Judi will as well.
I did try very hard to create a coastline, but it's not quite there. I don't think I left enough space to do it and then all THREE of my white gel pens have gone dry so I couldn't dabble in the surf like Sandy Allnock taught me. I substituted the white ink which is ok, but not quite as good effect as the gel pen. This is one of those cards where it looks waaaay better IRL too. The blue is more aqua, the beige is warmer and all the splotches in this picture don't show up as splotches. So, I'm hoping the soft colors will give Judi a coastal vibe despite the lack of surf and sand.
And, I hope your "vibes" today are happy and creative. TFL

Debbie, this is just soo adorable. What a great image and it is obvious she is at the beach even without your white gel pens (all of mine have dried up and all my white paint pens too - urgh).
What a lovely card and definitely sweet. It has that special bit of love you add to your cards too. hugz

Debbie this is so beautiful. It is so soft and sweet and definitely gives coastal vibes. The struggle with white gel pens is real so I have 5 at a time so that at least 1 works. Thank you for joining this tea party for my sister. This will make her struggle just a bit easier.

Precious image - and a wonderful scene. The only harsher critic of our cards besides ourselves is the camera. It picks out things I can't see. All I see here is a wonderful, uplifting card. :-)

This is absolutely the definition of sweet! Charming image, soft colors...the large scallops made me think of clouds actually...and add me to the dry white gel pen group. Maybe it was the radiators of winter...

Such a sweet card, Debbie! Your coloring is so soft and pretty. And I love the double layers of CS--the scalloped white layers remind me of the icing on a decorated sheet cake! (now I'm hungry...lol!)
