WT1102 - Sing a song (Daisy a day)
I just finished this card for my Mum, she broke her hip and is in rehab. It is slow progress, but we are cheering her on.
It is funny that when the card is so personal, so important, I couldnt decide what to make. It has taken me weeks to so isolate the idea and for the bits and pieces to arrive so I could get started. I gave it to Mum today.
Dry embossed the background, brushed 3 distress inks on shading each color into the next, and used green inks with the die cut leaves. I diecut the large cheering phrase, stacked it twice and layered it onto the vellum phrase outline. I die cut small alphabet letters to spell while you heal, and placed it onto a glossy black sentiment strip. I had to make the words big so Mum could read them.
The bird was colored with markers, & the daisies with different shades of yellow markers. Added glossy accents to bird and daisy centre. Scattered some yellow enamel dots to finish. |
