For the WTUI challenge today: WT1072 - Map It Out - 09/10/2025 by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers

I stamped and coloured my map, and then started looking for a suitable background and thought this wax paper resist worked well. I edged it and the map panel with a black Sharpie, and finished the card by adding a die-cut wave and the cute little sailing chick. Added a partial sentiment from a Unity set. This map reminds me of a wooden world map jigsaw we had when I was in my teens - in fact I still have it, although one piece is missing.

What an adorable card, my friend. The tiny chick on the bottom made me smile, big time. The waves and the little sailor are such a fun touch. Hugs.

That is a great stamp, background is perfect. I didn't know what that product was either, as I don't buy lots of stuff for my hair, being that it is so short and I get mistaken for a man.

The wax paper resist creates such a striking sense of movement—like wind sweeping across the map, guiding that sweet little sailing chick on its journey. I love how the black edging anchors the design and adds contrast without overpowering the softness of the background. The wave die is a perfect finishing touch, playful and full of motion. This card feels like a tiny adventure waiting to unfold.

Love the contrast between the vintage map and the quirky little bird. I recognized the background as waxed paper resist right away; it does work well as an ocean element.
