I wanted something light and simple as a memory of the fields of heather at the sea where we were for a week this summer. There was much more heather than last year and those purple fields are so pretty and have a lovely scent.
Start by watercoloring the sky and then the fields. Ink the heather stamp with two shades of green ink, mist with water and stamp. Repeat. Then color the flowers with watercolor paint. I also stamped some grasses in the same way.
Splatter a little white gouache on the page and stamp sentiments.
