I see your dilemma. Masking all these smaller figures would be tough, but the "On Safari" background stamp would be great on these - something like the look of this tile: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I also like the look of a darker shade sponged around the edges for a border, similar to these: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I love working on tiles. What about if you did small words in between the animals. Like something from Tiny Talk or Good Times? Or you could stamp a larger background or word stamp but in a much lighter color, maybe stamped off first, that way it would "fill" without overpowering the animals. Might make them more interesting too....
