When I saw the theme for the current CAS challenge, SWEET, I thought immediately of this stamp set and also remembered that I had saved a couple of cards by Josanna that used this set, so I decided to combine two challenges.
I kept the same stamp set and the striped background, but made a simpler card, though I do love the fun fold that Josanna chose.
All my papers came from my scrap bin. I started by attaching the striped patterned paper to a white premade card base. I stamped the cone detailing on light tan cardstock in crumb cake ink and cut it out. The cardstock was a little too light so I colored over it with a darker brown colored pencil. I cut ice cream scoops from pale orange, light green, and watermelon cardstock scraps, and stamped each with the sprinkles AKA jimmies in crumb cake ink, and set aside the cone pieces.
I stamped the small sentiment in Versamark Onyx ink onto the card front. I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting in the same ink on a crap of light orange cardstock and cut it out using a stitch rectangle die. I notched the one end of the banner and glued to the card front. I glued the cone directly above the banner and slightly overlapping, then attached the three scoops with foam tape.
Thanks for a fun CAS challenge, and thanks to Josanna for a very inspiring gallery. Hope your week was fun!
