Today we are celebrating Drawing Day. I drew these shorebirds by first putting down strokes of watercolor, allowing the organic nature of the color to direct the shape of each bird; once dry, I outlined with black microline pen and added beaks and legs. I also added some detail with white gel pen. Drew the waterline and watercolored the sand and water. Finally, I ran the drawing through a wood panel EF and added a stamped sentiment. I totally love this. I remember doing that type of bird for a TLC, but I did mine in bright colours and I really like your soft seabird colours. The added embossing adds a perfect finish.
