This is my sample for CC1000. To celebrate our milestone challenge, each DT member has chosen her favorite challenge that she hosted between CC901 & CC999.
I chose CC908 and my color trio is basic gray, fresh freesia and bermuda bay. Dessert option is die-cuts.
Check out the post for what we are doing this week to celebrate our 1000th color challenge. Lots of fun and we even have prizes.
For my card, I used the Garden Bird and Spring Blooms dies from CottageCutz to create a birthday card.
The background paper on the image panel is from the Stampin' Up "oh so ombre" collection.
The hummingbird is cut from the Stampin'Up "lily impressions" dsp. I like the look it gave his body. For the wings and throat, I used fresh freesia and shaded with the same color ink.
My flowers are cut from fresh freesia cardstock and the centers with a blackberry bliss (neutral) dsp. The leaves are mossy meadow another allowed neutral.
Stamped my birthday sentiment and added a few enamel dots to complete the card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. There are 6 color combinations to choose from.

Wow, I Love this, Mary! The ombre paper is so pretty and you have simply made these colors "sing"! I Love the sponging you added and the enamel dots to give this hummer scene some depth!

Beautiful colors for the hummingbird Mary! This card is just gorgeous; I love the design. It amazes how you always have the perfect DSP for your cards - I have so much and can never find what I need.

Oh Mary, I saw a humming bird on holiday in Jamaica - never seen once since. Your card has brightened my day and bought back glorious memories. Your die cuts are wonderful too!

Lovely card with the hummingbird and pink flowers, Mary. Those birds are attracted to red/pink flowers so your scene is quite accurate. Beautifully done with die cuts.
