When I heard that this week's Teapot Challenge was old slang, I immediately thought of my die-cuts from Bo Bunny's "Something Splendid" collection. It has a lot of images and expressions from the Roaring Twenties Era.
However, it didn't have anything in peach, and I wanted to include Eleanor's favorite color. So I found this Flapper ATC (Etsy), who has some peach flowers on her dress and a few peach feathers in her headdress.
I had the little square of origami paper in my pile of things to use up, and it seemed to go well with her, so that completed all the main collage images.
Because the origami square had gold lines, I framed it and the flapper image with bits of gold wrapping paper. Then I glued everything to a piece of striped paper (Unknown). The striped paper was mounted to black cardstock (to match the frame around the flapper), then blue cardstock, and finally a beige card base.
As a finishing touch, I added the peach flower to the origami paper. It is -- surprise, surprise -- a button with the shank cut off and the back sanded flat.

You have the most amazing variety of papers and always manage to find the perfect accompaniment for your focal image. All the bits of gold really add to the elegance on this card.

Your flapper is gorgeous and so is your design. I love how you incorporated those bits of gold to show her off and how cool that you had that peach button. Perfect finishing touch to a fabulous card. I agree with Linda, you do find the perfect accompaniments for your focal images.
