Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a beautiful palette of Coastal Cabana, Sweet Sorbet and Flirty Flamingo. The dessert option is a die-cut. Check!
This card was made with a new kit from My Favorite Things. To my mind, this kit is exceptional, because it makes a very impressive card with minimal time and effort! I die cut the butterfly image, then cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock the same size (4" x 5-1/4"). I ink blended on the Bristol cardstock using Distress Oxide ink pads in colors close to the challenge colors, then splattered a few drops of water on the blended ink. Easy-peasy to layer everything and stamp a sentiment in Festive Berries ink, then sprinkled with icicle (clear) embossing powder, and heat set. A few sequins, and it was done.
What can you do with these colors? Let your imagination soar, then share your creation with us in the gallery! And be sure to tune in next week for Color Challenge 1,000!
