Congratulations to SCS for their 900th Featured Stamper challenge. It's amazing to see so many people who have been part of this community since its early days. I am truly amazed by all of you.
For my card, I chose www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/3102431 which was created by Sandye Curry, also known as 'sgc'. Creating this card was a meandering path again and it took me several attempts before I settled on this design. Initially, I tried to replicate sgc's card by masking, but I made a mistake with the stamps and ruined the card.
To make my card, I used Stampin Up inks in various shades of blue, including Night of Navy and DO black. I added a touch of SU yellow at the bottom of the card and a hint of reddish-pink as well. The skyline stamp is from a small stamp shop in NYC, and I used Brutus Monroe white splash to add stars. Finally, I cut out the sentiment using a cricut.
These challenges are so much fun as I never would have created a NYC card on my own, yet here one is. Thank you for the creative inspiration. Congratulations sgc for being a featured stamper on the 900th FS challenge.

What a great city stamp, Brian, and I LOVE your sky. This is a fab card celebrating NYC. The splatters are wonderful too.
Thanks for helping to make the 900th challenge special with your fab card.

I love the big sky and the silhouette of NY. You chose the best of her card to highlight, Brian.
