This incredible bear is inspired by the Pinterest board of Whistlefish and the artist Jane Askey. Though admittedly it took a meandering mountain path to get here.
While seeking inspiration for today's challenge on Whistlefish, I got distracted by a beautiful drawing of a bear that also popped up in my feed. I used the bear as inspiration since I found it through the Whistlefish feed, but then I used the prompt of the artist Jane Askey, who has a board on the Whistlefish Pinterest site. The result was this amazing bear.
I then printed out the bear and hit the edges with Scorched Timber and Black Soot. I then used Distress Oxide spray in Scorched Timber to get a splatter effect. Finally, using a watercolor pen and Chroma Mist Tinsel Blue, I highlighted the water.
The image is layered on a dark brown from Park Lane.
Thanks for looking but don't get too close to the wild animals please.

Great card! I love that bear and the fantastic landscape you created around him. Highlighting the water was a very nice touch that makes the scene look even more compelling.
