The theme for the Monthly Fan Club Christmas Card challenge is A Year of Patterned Paper. Love that! For April, the challenge is to use two different patterned papers.
I went to my stash of old and not so old Christmas paper packs. I found this very old pack with some prepared elements ready to go. All the more reason to use it! The tree was previously stamped in Old Olive with a gold Stickles dot on top. Today, I stamped the trunk in Pecan Pie and sponged around a little Olive. Then I matted it on Cranberry Crisp. The sentiment was already heat embossed with Cranberry Crisp & VersaMark ink and clear powder. I punched out the sentiment and an Old Olive scallop oval to go behind it.
The striped panel had been embossed with a striped EF that lined up nearly perfect with the stripes in the pattern. I did not remember doing that until I picked it up and could feel the texture. I was going to pair it with a more solid green pattern, but I stepped out of my comfort zone a little and used a second multi-colored pattern behind it. The tree and sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.
Thanks for the excellent challenge to motivate us to use that paper! Thanks for looking.

I like the bold graphic designs you paired - but then the SU DSP packs were really well coordinated to do exactly that. Sadly, I have a lot of DP but all inherited and NONE of it really goes together so although I love the look you have here, I have a hard time pairing anything . . .
Beautifully designed card!
