I needed to make a card this morning for my friend who is grieving the loss of her 32 year old horse. She really loved that horse and was telling me about the "regal" purple and gold pillow that she made to bury him with. When I saw this card by our Featured Stamper, sophmad, I knew just what to do. It reminded me that I had this nice horse silhouette stamp and the perfect sentiment for Gini's card. I decided to make a purple background with gold embossing and used the scallop stitch frame to give it a pillowy look. But then I couldn't decide what to use for a card base, and ended up just making it a small card. Since it's such a small card, I was able to let the image/sentiment panel hang off the edge of the card and still fit it in a regular size envelope.

This card will be so appreciated by your friend. This really brings home the best part of why we make cards - the way we can personalize them to really bring meaning to the people we send them to!
