This is for Tuesday's tea party for Theresa, yesterday's sketch and today's WT-use sequins. I didn't have time yesterday to create so I'm making up for it today.
For Theresa, we were to create some kind of ombre look, from light to dark, to represent how darkness can turn into light when it comes to grief. I had already done a few of these ombre watercolor backgrounds, ready to use. I had also kept a greenish brayer off printer paper so that's what I stamped the images on the right, also going from light to dark. I suppose, in retrospect, I should have gone from dark to light. I fussy cut the images out and layered them on some handmade paper with silver vines. Added a bunch of sequins. I also have a sentiment for the inside that talks about darkness to light.
Thanks for the challenges!

That watercolour background is amazing. Did it require a lot of drying time to stop each strip bleeding into the next? You fa great job stamping the sentiment on such textured watercolour paper. I would have pegged that as a Unity sentiment!

Fabulous card, Jean starting with all those luscious shades of green. Love the whimsy you added with those stamped images. While they are "fun" your card is also serene -- not easy to achieve both looks on one card but you did. And that sentiment is great. So true for so many situations. Fantastic card.

Your card for Theresa is a beautiful representation of the journey from darkness to light in times of grief. The ombre watercolor backgrounds and stamped images transitioning from light to dark capture this sentiment perfectly. The addition of sequins adds a touch of sparkle and hope to your heartfelt creation.

Great card! I love your green gradient. It reminds me of gentle hills stretching off into the distance, just like the future is stretching out in front of Theresa. And that green heart gem is a very sweet touch.
