This card was created for this week's Ways To Use It challenge. When I learned that the theme was wheels, my mind immediately went to this carriage charm that I got at a bead show many years ago. Ironically, it didn't actually have wheels. But I could fix that!
First, however, I need to find a background I liked. After going through my silver papers, I selected this one with a diamond pattern (unknown). I also picked out a piece of silver cardstock to serve as a frame for the castle image (Echo Park's "Once Upon A Time" collection).
The top right corner still needed something more, so I added a scrap of silver doily.
After gluing all of that to a black card base, it was finally time to deal with the wheels. Going through my buttons, I found two matching silver buttons that reminded me of wheels. So I cut off the shanks, sanded the backs flat, and glued them down where the carriage wheels would go.
Lastly, I glued down the silver crown, the gems, and the strip of sparkly silver paper that looks a little like a road in front of the carriage.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Lisa! I really like how this card turned out.

What a creative adaptation of the theme! Your carriage charm-turned-card is simply enchanting. The silver accents and thoughtful details like the sparkly paper "road" and crown embellishment add an extra touch of magic to the design. Well done!

What a magical card for our wheels theme! Those embellishments are the best....love your button wheels for the carriage ...so pretty as is the crown. You've got some great "doo dahs" to add to your creations.
