When I first saw the teaser for this week's tea party, I thought I was going to be forced to skip this one, because I have absolutely no baseball stuff. But stars? Stars, I can do.
I started with the sentiment, which was cut from a page in DCWV's "Stardust" collection. Then I added the large gold and white star, which was cut from some packaging.
Then I was stumped for awhile. Searching for inspiration, I flipped through an old school textbook that I got from the local library's "Free" rack. That's where I found the picture of the man looking through a telescope with a city in the background.
After that, it was just a matter of assembling everything. I cut out the textbook image, framed it with gold cardstock (unknown), and stuck it to more paper from the "Stardust" collection. Finally, I added two smaller gold stars (unknown) to the sentiment.

I really like that image of the man with the telescope...how cool! I love the stars, too. Fab card!
By the way, even if you don't have a specific image to go with our recipient's interests you can send a card you deem appropriate for the situation. They're always appreciated.

Well, I'd say this is inspired. I love that you found the image in an old textbook and turned it into this beautiful card. Love the blues here and the "feel" of staring up into a starry night. Great card

this card is fabulous.. this is a great scene, looking at the stars. I usually think of country folk looking through telescopes.. and don't think about people living among the tall buildings star gazing too. Very clever..

I just love your paper. I nearly used a stamp with a telescope and stars but in the countryside rather than a city. I can't help thinking that in real life there works be far too much light pollution in an urban setting like that to see anything ( one of the things I love about camping, and why I bought the stamp I didn't use, because it includes a tent ;-)) but on paper we can have what we want. I miss our library's free shelves, they never reinstated them after COVID.
