Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and her colors made me think of Christmas: Poppy Parade, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Cherry Cobbler. The dessert option is Plaid. And since I always want dessert, my first order of business was to find something plaid.
I ended up pulling out a set from a class I took months ago and had all but forgotten. I used two of the diagonal stripe stencils to blend the two shades of red ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock to create a plaid. Then I die cut the package shape along with the ribbon and bow dies, greeting and its shadow. I also dry embossed the snowflakes and flourishes embossing folder. This is an older, 2-D folder, but I was very pleased with the crisp impression it created. It all went together pretty easily, with some foam tape behind the gift and the greeting.
My first Christmas card of 2024--done!

This is a clean and classy CAS card Barbara. I love the plaid wrapping on your gift. The gold foil on your sentiment really makes it stand out. Guess who else thought of Christmas with these colors? (lol)

Very pretty Christmas card, Barbara! Your package looks so inviting! The snowflake bg is Beautiful and the gold adds a bit of elegance. I thought Christmas as well, but decided to challenge myself further by not making a Christmas card~
