I embossed my white card and then coloured all the DEBOSSED areas with Sharpies, then swiped over with black ink.
The flowers were coloured with Inktense pencils and layered. At first I thought they might be lost on the background, but when I tried them on a background that was mostly green, I found I preferred this. Card base sponged with mowed lawn distress. I have a semi-camouflaged bird in there too - chipboard painted with gesso and then several layers of Twinkling H2Os to build up solid colour.

The debossing combined with the layered flowers gives it a lot of extra depth. Cool. I always like a black BG-makes everything pop and these brights are extra pop.
