This is for today's WT-envelope art and Wednesday's WCW200-yay for 200! We were supposed to go back in time and revisit one of the first 199 challenges. I chose #12. It is an easy one for me...sure I should have picked one that befuddled me but I was ready to play today. I used up all my little gray cells doing the MMTPT tickle for this week.
The wonderful CeeCee presented this video to do an abstract painting, then doodle on top. I used a full sheet of Arches, taped off separate spaces, then went nuts. Lots of blobbing, sweeping strokes, splattering. I went with sort of a primary pallet but softer. I really love CeeCee's work, although I think she over thinks things. I try not to over think anything!!!!! Just play! I used a brown Micron pen for the doodling and then, for today's WT, I made an envelope out of a sheet of handmade paper, cut a triangle of one of the other panels of my watercolor and then doodled some more. I have a thicker brown Micron, I might go over the card doodling just to bring it out. I love this! Had a blast. Thanks for the challenges!

I love this! I knew which challenge it was at first glance. Your colors are stunning; I actually prefer your colors to the ones I used for that challenge. Your painting is stunning and so is the envelope!

Very nice....I think you like to doodle and zentangle so this was a good challenge for you. Your abstract painting looks great and I love that envelope, too.

Wowzers, this is so cool! I love your doodling and your choice of colors. This would be a fun card and envelope to receive.

You put that good arches paper to fantastic use! Your choice of colors is eye appealing and love the contrast of the beautiful blue. You really can doodle. Glad you had fun and time to make this wonderful painting. The homemade paper looks lovely for your card. TFS

How beautiful. Not sure why but these make me think of our visit to Barcelona and some of Gaudi's stuff. I think it's the organic feel. The texture of the paper in the envelope looks great. I'm thinking it may have been more challenging to colour, I'm sure it had different properties to the Arches.
